Top 10 Great Nursing Programs in 2022

Nursing Programs

My mother was a Nurse and enrolled in one of the nursing programs, as a kid whenever I asked her why she didn’t become a doctor instead of a nurse. She most gracefully answered me that it was because she had this inbuilt quality of caring for others.

With time I observed her work and her tireless service to her patients and came to the conclusion that nurses, though not doctors, play a very vital role in the healthcare workforce. They help the patients manage their all kinds of needs and ensure quality care.

A nurse is not just an assistant to the doctors but they are medical professionals. They work in various atmospheres such as hospitals and clinics, schools, homeless shelters, old age homes, rehabilitation centers etc. In Fact people hire private full-time nurses to aid patients at home itself. Online Nursing Programs for Non Nurses

Like my mother, do you also have the inbuilt quality to care for people? Do you want to become a nurse and serve people in their healthcare but have a specialization in some other field? Don’t worry we have got you covered. With an availability of a variety of online courses non nurse students can also go for many options. I have previously talked about RNs who are Nurses with Associate degrees.

Nursing Programs

A non nurse could opt for a RN degree or certificate course online. A Registered Nurse can work in various clinical settings including hospitals and clinics.Their roles vary according to the place. Often they are responsible for recording patient’s health history, giving medication, using medical equipment to assist physicians and senior nurses.

CNA Diploma in Nursing could also be a convenient option if you do not have a nursing background. You can do additional courses along with a CNA diploma to pursue a RN degree. This training builds a foundation for non nurses.

Again, LPN diploma is another easy option for non nurses. This does not make one a proper nurse but it is a favorable step towards the same. The roles of a LPN could be caring for patients’ needs, feeding patients, reporting patients’ needs to senior staff, keeping and maintaining their official records and so on. Though the courses are available online, the student might need to join the practical training in person as it is an important part of the program.

Even non nurses can opt for the above mentioned programs and jumpstart their careers as nurses. Further, if they wish they can continue the training and earn themselves a bachelor’s degree in Nursing followed by a Master’s degree.
