Lexus LX600: Know Everything about the upcoming car

new Lexus LX600

The new Lexus LX600 is basically a more elegant and affluent variant of the new Land Cruiser, using the same TNGA-F body-on-frame design. It’s said to be built on the same platform as the new Toyota Land Cruiser. The new Lexus LX600 competes largely with Mercedes-Benz GLS and BMW X7 because to its V6 petrol and diesel engine choices.

Lexus has unveiled the all-new LX flagship SUV, after the unveiling of the new-generation Toyota Land Cruiser earlier. The model’s appearance demonstrates that the Lexus LX600 stays true to the Land Cruiser’s more upscale model. Here is everything you need to know about the 2022 new Lexus LX600.

The Fancy Exterior:

The new Lexus LX600 is a fancier companion vehicle of the new Land Cruiser LC300 which can be thought as its predecessor. It has some similarities with its predecessor. For example, the upright and boxy posture and the prominent squared-out wheel arches are bound to remind of the earlier LC300. However, new Lexus LX600 has done its share of improvisations with the new model that makes the LX stand out. A massive Lexus grille seems to dominate the flat and high front, flanked on both sides by slim LED headlights.

The front bumper has large air dams, and the bonnet is contoured aggressively. While we can see that the window line on the sides feel mostly the same, the LX gets a redesigned structure for the rear quarter windows. In addition, the LX rides on bigger 22-inch alloy wheels. The seven-seat, three-row configuration is replaced with a pair of rear captain’s chairs with massage and a reclining function for the passenger-side seat, as well as a sliding ottoman.

The back has LED taillights joined by a light bar, a muscular rear bumper with silver skid plates, and ‘Lexus’ spelt out on the tailgate instead of the customary emblem. Mainly because of its luxurious structure, the $127,345 Ultra Luxury costs much more.

Even Fancier Interior:

The standard LX600 has two rows of seats and can seat up to five people. The F Sport has a unique front grille, 22-inch wheels, a limited-slip differential, adaptive dampers, and premium interior trim. At first glance the inside might look similar to the new LC300 in some ways. But a detailed look will reveal that new Lexus has gone to great lengths to make the new Lexus LX600 stand apart.

While the basic dashboard design is similar, the LX’s unit is dominated by a dual-screen setup. It holds an upper, free-standing 12.3-inch screen that serves as the infotainment system and a display for the 360-degree camera. It also has a lower 7.0-inch screen that displays various off-road data. One interesting fact of new Lexus LX600 is that this screen holds climate control functions. The bottom display is bordered by vertical air-conditioning vents, and the entire centre console arrangement has been changed by Lexus from its previous version. There are three different degrees of adjustable-height suspension.

There’s also a Multi-Terrain Select system with five different drive modes and a variety of off-road camera angles. These include a new angle that allows the ground beneath the vehicle’s back to be seen. Beautiful, velvety leather seats are standard on the inside of the new Lexus LX600. The seats are plush, with the Ultra Luxury trim level emphasising the comfort of its occupants.

The new LX’s starting button, like the Land Cruiser’s, incorporates a fingerprint scanner. However, this is not all. You can make some changes by adding some more bucks and customize some of the interior options. The LX600 Premium adds a third row of seats and can accommodate up to seven people. The Luxury variant of new Lexus LX600 costs $104,345 and comes with a variety of interior enhancements, such as better leather and a better audio system.

Features:

Although fuel efficiency numbers for the new Lexus LX600 are not yet available, with the improved engine, reduced displacement, and new 10-speed DirectShift automatic gearbox, it is believed to be better than before. The new design has allowed the new Lexus LX600 save 441 pounds over previous versions while also increasing chassis stiffness by 20%. The LX 600 is powered by a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine that produces 409 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque.

Standard equipment includes a ten-speed automatic gearbox. These stats are an increase over the previous LX’s 5.7-liter V8, which produced 383 horsepower and 403 pound-feet of torque while delivering less-than-ideal fuel efficiency of 12 MPG in the city, 16 MPG on the highway, and a combined 14 MPG. A twin-turbo 3.4-liter V-6 engine with 409 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque powers all LX600 variants.

All models come equipped with a ten-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive. Because the rear shock mounting location has been changed, the new Lexus LX600 features better vibration reduction and comfort. It incorporates an Active Height Control technology that can alter the ride height of the vehicle on the fly. The new version is able to adapt itself more quickly and effectively than the previous version.

Depending on the multiple drive modes and speed, the mechanism adjusts the height. The electronic steering and braking system is supposed to be included in the 2022 model. The brake-by-wire technology senses the pressure on the brake pedal and changes the braking force accordingly. A new rear Torsen limited-slip differential is also included in the F Sport model to improve the car’s on-road handling.

There is also a variant of the new Lexus LX600 is also available in Japan’s domestic market, which is based on the more off-road oriented Toyota Land Cruiser GR Sport. The LX Off-road includes enhanced hardware including three locking differentials, darker 18-inch wheels, and blacked-out visual pieces like the wheel arch cladding to give it a more rugged look.

2022 new Lexus lx600 price:

It turns out that the 2022 Lexus LX600 is currently the only Toyota Land Cruiser available in the United States. With its fancy model and specs, it is, however, fortunate to some extent that its price isn’t too much more than the previous Land Cruisers that are available.

The LX600 starts at $88,245. Turns out that the new 2022 Lexus LX600 price is only $1215 more than the basic price of the Land Cruiser for 2021. It is also $405 lesser than the LX570 for 2021. There are of course Premium and Luxury trim levels, as well as a F Sport model and a premium Ultra Luxury trim with a comfortable four-seat arrangement, are all available in the LX lineup.

2022 Lexus LX600 release date:

The Lexus LX 600 for 2022 made its debut in October of 2021 and won all hearts. The Lexus LX 2022 is expected to arrive in the first quarter of 2022. Even though the exact date is yet to be officially announced, it will most likely be released somewhere around the month of August. It will be offered at dealerships all around the USA.

Despite the lack of formal confirmation, the new Lexus LX might be on its way to India. Considering that its predecessor is still on sale in the country, Lexus LX600 is expected to have a good market in the country and hence, it is hopeful that it would soon be released here. The new-generation Land Cruiser is also scheduled to arrive on our shores. The Lexus LX will compete in India against the Mercedes-Benz GLS and BMW X7.

What to Expect:

The LX had a reputation for being technologically behind the times and being a bit behind in the matters of tech-savy-ness. However, the new navigation system, like the rest of the car, is really posh and cutting-edge. The digital cluster, 12.3-inch top touch screen, second 7-inch lower touch screen, and new interface platform all add to the proof of improved technology.

Lexus’ Safety Sense 2.5 also includes a standard pre-collision aid, adaptive cruise control, automated emergency braking, automatic high-beams, and lane-keep assist, among other features.

The all-new LX 600 is expected to arrive with a luxurious cabin, a slew of tech and infotainment updates, and a significant power bump over prior versions. It may likely  as well serve as a model for future generations of large, luxury SUVs.
